Roofs in Bray and Greystones
Bray and Greystones are the two towns in Wicklow where we do the most work. Bray has the older stock: Victorian and Edwardian terraces near the seafront and the town centre with slate roofs, tall chimneys and parapet gutters, along with 1960s and 1970s semis further out towards the Dublin border. Greystones has some of that too around the harbour and Delgany, but most of its growth is in the estates built since the early 2000s around Charlesland and the edges of town. Both towns face the sea, and easterly gales lift ridge tiles, strip lead off chimneys and drive rain under old slates. Salt keeps moss growing on every north and east slope.
What we do most here
In Bray, repairs on the older houses lead the way: slipped slates, leaking parapet gutters and chimney flashings, usually done in a single visit. Replacing cast-iron or old uPVC gutters with new fascia and soffit is the next most common job on the terraces and the 1960s semis. In Greystones the mix is different, with a lot of flat roofs on extensions and garages, which we replace using Laydex, Soprema and RoofTX systems carrying 20-year manufacturer warranties. Re-roofs are done in tile or slate to match the house, and every job is priced after a free on-site check, with the price agreed before any work starts.
Getting to you
Bray is about 35 minutes from our Rathcoole base via the M50 and M11, and Greystones ten minutes further. We are in north Wicklow most weeks, so checks are fitted in around other jobs.
